In most cases you will have to make some adjustments for these blank sets to fit onto your engine.
This is necessary to properly line up the pick-up (pulser) with the signal disc.
This could mean constructing a baseplate, adjusting the shaft, or adjusting the signal disc.


3. Cylinder configuration

INFORMATION:

Angle that the crankshaft has to turn between the
top dead centres of the cylinders.

Note: On a lot of engines this is not the same angle as the angle between the cylinders! Also take the angle between the crank webs and pins into account.

For example Honda VT1100C Shadow (1987-1996) has the cylinders at 45°. But it has a double pinned crank shaft, with the pins at 90°. This implies the angle the crankshaft has to turn between the two top dead centres is 135°
